Here at St Lawrence’s you can join with others exploring what it means to live the Christian life. You are welcome, just as you are, to join in, helping each other find answers to the questions that life brings up from day to day.

We believe the local church is a great place to discover community, belonging, and friendship.
Living a life of faith isn’t easy but God has given us a wonderful giftfor the journey – the local church. You are invited to join us at St Lawrence’s, where you can find belonging and friendship, opportunities to worship and pray together, and space to share encouragement amidst the joys and frustrations of life.

We believe everyone has a part to play.
The vision of St Lawrence Church involves belonging, serving, worshipping and growing. If you are new to church we can help you find opportunities to explore and discover faith, whether in one of our worship services, or as part of a Welcome Group meeting during the week. You don’t have to be a ‘member’ to attend St Lawrence’s church. Everyone is welcome and we would be delighted to meet you.
HOW WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY
In addition to our beautiful church building, St Lawrence’s also have the modern and very popular Church Hall which can be hired seven days a week, and the Treasury Outreach, a refurbished Wesleyan Chapel, which is becoming an important part of our mission and ministry in the Parish.

OUR VISION
We share the vision of our Diocese, recognising that our world is in desperate need of hope. In a post-Covid age and cost of living crisis, with our country’s structures and systems under pressure and the increasing mental health challenges facing young people, the cry for hope is clear. A hope that brings transformation and new life, healing and wholeness. We believe that hope is found in Jesus Christ.
